Definition

A POI refers to the location of the object being measured. You can pre-set your measurement locations through the POI menu.

How to tag the location

When a POI is set, if the shooting location is near the designated POI during capture, the file's location will be automatically recorded, making it convenient to manage your captured files by location on the map within your account.

Add POI

On the web, you can add POIs in advance through the POI menu. If your company already has latitude and longitude information for the facilities to be captured, this information can be registered in bulk (inquiries: processed through the inquiry window on the web). Additionally, you can edit the name or notes of the created POIs.

Principle

The location recording principle uses the phone's GPS at the measurement site. If the distance between the phone and the POI is within the radius set in the settings, the location of the measurement file will be recorded as the POI.

POI density & Distance between your position of shooting and POI matters

</aside>

  1. Example 1: If the radius is set to 10m and measurement is taken 5m away from the equipment, the location of the measurement file will be recorded as the POI.
  2. Example 2: If the radius is set to 10m and there are three pieces of equipment within 10m, the location will be recorded as the closest equipment (POI) based on the phone’s position.
  3. Example 3: If the radius is set to 10m but the equipment is 20m away, no POI is within the 10m radius, so the latitude and longitude of the phone will be recorded as the location of the file.
